Rare Crank For Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost To Restore
£399.00
Rare Crank For Rolls- Royce Silver Ghost to restore, this part will require reconditioning before use, 52” in length what looks to be engine no.85, (this could however be an assembly number) from my brief research engine number 85 corresponds to a 1912 ghost (chassis no.2184 which appears to no longer exist) but could also be from 7 later cars including post WWI, Rolls-Royce engine numbering particularly in the early days was all a bit mixed up add to that a century plus of replacements/maintenence, two World Wars, times of depression/unpopularity etc, so quite hard to pin down the specific history of this part, I’m sure the experts among you will know better! The final two images are from the Ghost parts books, the first being from series A-H which shows the angular dimensions as on this crank and the same length of 52” wheras the wheel on the end of this crank looks more like that in the second image from the parts catalogue series J-P. I am no expert on the chronology of ghost engines but will do my best to answer any questions you may have! Ghost parts are getting very thin on the ground these days so grab it while you can!
