More India News.

We are pleased to share a video of an interview with one of our Indian customers, Rajiv Kehr, at an event in Mumbai organised on behalf of the R.R.E.C India section, newly formed by Rajiv, who is the chairman.

There is a good deal of interest out there in cars of the type we sell, and we wish the new section success and much enjoyment!

Importing Cars into India.

We have just heard that – as of February 2025 – import rules for cars going to India have changed. Whereas up until now, imports have been restricted to those manufactured prior to 1950, it now seems that there is a ‘rolling date’ rule of 50 years or more, meaning that currently any car first registered prior to 1975 can be imported. We welcome this change for our customers in India, and hope that it will facilitate more sales to that country.

If you would like more information, and a copy of the new regulations, please let us know.

2025 in more ways than one!

We have launched our new website at the beginning of 2025, which is in many ways very appropriate, as we have sold many 20/25s over the last few decades, so it feels very fitting!

We currently have nine examples available, all of which can be seen on our ‘Cars for Sale’ page, but here are some of them.

Another ‘Barn Find’

Some while ago, we bought a ‘barn find’ 20/25, this time a 1935 James Young Sports Saloon, chassis number GAF58, which had been in storage for about thirty years, and which was with one owner since the early 1960s. We always love to find unmolested cars of this type, and they always attract lots of attention – often more than the pristine, restored versions do. We are presenting the car, just as found, complete with dust of ages, and aside from coaxing the engine back to life, which we have done, it is offered just as it is.

Although this was several years ago, we are listing it as an example of cars that we find. We love the long-term storage cars, so if you have, or know of one, please do let us know!
